Give Your Tastebuds a Trip with Acai
Did you know that acai is probably the purest botanical on the planet? Take a peek at some of it’s best attributes…
- Acai acts as a natural cleansers
- Acai is a colon cleanser — keeping harmful substances out and alleviating constipation
- Acai speeds up bowel transit time — preventing foods from fermenting in the intestines (which can contribute to bloating, constipation, and gas)
- Acai berries have powerful detoxification capacities in the human body
- Are super high in antioxidants
- Is filled with natural cleansers, minerals, and is naturally sugar-free
- Has healthy omegas
Have you given acai a try yet? Let me know in the comments below. And if you don’t know where to purchase acai, it can be found at most health stores (in the frozen food section).
I’ve been using the Sambazon Unsweetened Acai Smoothie Packets for years and is my favorite brand — made from delicious, organic acai, wild-harvested from the heart of the Amazon.
Check out the link above and see the amazing variety of acai products they carry. You will soon fall in love with these berries, not only for all of their benefits, but their taste too!
This company also uses fair-trade practices so you can feel good about supporting and benefiting the local farmers. How’s that for supporting the community and your bodies?!
I am obsessed with acai and use it in my smoothies and smoothie bowls almost every day. You can feel good about what’s going into your afternoon snacks and desserts when you know how it will show up later in your glowing skin and overall health.
Beauty Plant Source: Chia Seeds
Yes, chia seeds are the highest combined plant source of omega 3, fiber and protein, and vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Isn’t that enough convincing to add this plant source into our routines as often as is possible? I think so!
Chia seeds provide complete protein, as well as antioxidants, vitamins, a variety of minerals such as calcium, and are a rich, plant-based source of omega-3 vs omega 6 fatty acids (ALA).
Chia seeds have a high level of soluble and insoluble fiber, and swell up to 15 times their size when mixed with liquids to create a filling gel that provides long-burning fuel as it cleanses your digestive system.
Because chia seeds are so nutrient-dense and filling, they can help reduce cravings and keep us Beauties on track with our Beauty Detox lifestyle. I absolutely love knowing the beauty benefits of what I eat, since it makes the process more enjoyable — knowing I’m nourishing my body in the best way possible!
Don’t know which brand of chia seeds to buy? No problem. I recommend The Chia Co and use them with confidence. This is because they are grown in Kimberley Australia — within 15 degrees of the equator — which makes it the perfect environment to grow these babies.
Their chia seeds are sun ripened, non-GMO and sustainably grown, producing the highest quality of chia.
Adding 1 tablespoon (15g), of chia into your daily diet provides 3g of omega 3, 6g of dietary fiber and 3g of complete protein.
In addition to all of the above, chia seed have enhanced levels of Beauty Minerals and nutrients that will sustain energy, improve digestion and heart health, and encourage healthy skin, hair and nails.
Also, these miracle seeds will give you the exercise fuel you need to get through your workout and keep you hydrated — increasing stamina and aiding muscle repair. Is there anything this seed can’t do?!
