Welcome to the Feel Good Podcast with Kimberly Snyder. Our goal is to help you be your most healthy, confident, beautiful and happy! Our topics focus on health (physical, emotional/mental and spiritual), wellness, holistic nutrition, beauty, meditation, spirituality and personal empowerment.
Feeling Good means we tune in to our bodies and our intuition, including making food and lifestyle choices to feel energized and beautiful, what serves us and what doesn’t, and being in flow along our unique journeys. Feeling good naturally leads to also looking good, in a much more powerful way from glowing skin created from within, a beautifully strong body, radiant energy, and a level of peace and confidence in our perfectly imperfect lives.
Once a month, I do a Solocast with my insights, as well as current research on a trending topic from our community, to support you in living your most beautiful, inspired and joyful life. I’m your host, Kimberly Snyder, founder of Solluna, New York Times best-selling author and nutritionist. I’m so grateful and honored we found each other!
Today’s solocast topic is: Syncing up Your Circadian Rhythm
Have you ever noticed that there are certain times of the day that you feel like you have more energy and other times of the day that you tend to feel sleepier? If you really pay attention you might notice this pattern on a daily basis. Well Beauties, you can thank your circadian rhythm for this.
Your circadian rhythm is basically a 24-hour internal clock that continuously runs in the background and it helps your brain determine the different cycles you are reaching throughout your day.
Our circadian rhythm is guided by various variables in our life that we actually have some control over.
According to new studies, our individual differences in our circadian rhythms can be characterized by our “chronotype”.
Our chronotype explains whether we are a night owl or a morning person. According to psychologist and sleep specialist Dr. Michael Breus, we are all one of four chronotypes, labeled dolphins, lions, bears, and wolves, and understanding these chronotypes will help us get into better sync with our unique circadian rhythm.

Tips to help you find out what chronotype you might classify yourself under so you can sync up with your circadian rhythm. If you aren’t sure what chronotype you are, try out Dr. Michael Bruess, helping you determine what kind of chronotype you naturally are.
