Namaste and welcome to our Full Of Life Meditation. I wanted to create this meditation to help invoke aliveness and just feeling the power of life flowing through your body, which it is. And at the same time, we know that what we pay attention to helps it to expand and grow, and what we don’t pay attention to can start to contract and wither.
In this meditation today, our focus is on feeling that full flow of life force, pranic life force energy through our bodies and around our bodies, and then out into the world through our eyes and our words and our actions, but really just amplifying this life force that is inside of us.
This aliveness is potent. This is aliveness is magnetic. It draws people and opportunities to us. It brings more flow to the tasks and the things that we’re going about doing in the day. It awakens us to our essence, which is to be that beautiful flow of life.
We are all unique essences of spirit. As we meditate today, it’s going to be… This meditation is a wonderful tool for you to call in more aliveness, to be awake to your full aliveness. And the more you practice this meditation to amplify it, to bring it out into your life and into the world.
Let’s get started.
Guided Meditation
Please take a comfortable seat either in your seated position on the ground, with your hips elevated on a cushion or a pillow, or sitting in a chair with your feet nice and flat on the ground.
If your chair is big, please scooch forward so that you can sit with flat feet, which is important to ground your energy and allow you to properly lift your spine. Go ahead and do that now, please.
Keep your spine lifted, but relaxed. Shoulders over your hips.
Sometimes we may lean a little bit to the left or the right. So if you’re not sure if you are upright, it’s a good idea to practice how you sit in front of a mirror so you get that information, which is important. A lifted spine helps to conduct and allow the prana to flow uninhabited and is very important for meditation posture, as the great yoga Master Paramahansa Yogananda teaches us.
Take that time. Get into position.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
I’d like you to place your right hand on your heart and your left hand on your belly.
Take a full inhale, a full exhale.
Now switch your hands, right hand on your belly, left hand in your heart, breathe, and exhale. And switch. Breathe. Now, as you’re doing this exercise, keep going.
Exhale, and then switch your hands. One on the belly, one on your heart.
Keep going with these cycles and feel this aliveness running figure body, taking the breath in, feeling your belly rise, feeling your heartbeat in your chest.
All this energetic power flowing out, not just to sustain and pump blood and oxygen throughout your whole body, but to also pump love, compassion through your being and through your life. Feel this aliveness. Keep going, inhaling, exhaling, switching your hands.
Just full attention, tuning into the breath and to all the ways that your aliveness is so obvious and all the less than obvious ways as you do this. You can start to tune into just energy movement internally. Your inner state and feelings and your emotions, which are part of your aliveness. The quality of your breath, the steadiness of your heartbeat, just keep tuning in another few cycles.
Now go ahead after your next cycle and let your hands rest on your lap, palms facing up, and start to slow the breath down now even more from when we were doing that exercise with moving our hands.
As your hands come into stillness, just feel this beautiful, subtle energy of inhaling and drawing the breath in, and then exhaling and letting the breath come out.
Keep breathing nice and slowly and continue to notice how much prana there is following through you in this very moment.
As you inhale, you can wiggle your fingers a little bit and your toes, feel that in every cell of your body.
There is nourishment taking place. The breath, the oxygen is flowing all throughout your being. You are alive. You are awake. There is so much life force flowing through you in this very moment. So just take a moment to breathe and to notice in the subtle and the bigger ways that you can feel your true aliveness in this very moment.
Setting the Intention for Today
And you can listen in or say out loud with me as I introduce our intention for today’s meditation.
I Am coursing with life, with life force energy.
I Am coursing with life, with life force energy.
I Am coursing with life, with life force energy.
I Am coursing with life, with life force energy.
I Am coursing with life, with life force energy.
Let that sink in.
Continue to tune in to your aliveness to all this energy just flowing through you, this alive energy to every cell of your being.
Let’s just sit here for another moment, this beautiful aliveness. Taking a final inhale through your nose and a deep, slow exhale through your nose.
Bringing your hands together in a prayer pose in front of your heart. Taking a moment to be grateful for anything that rises spontaneously.
I am so grateful for our connection and being able to meditate together, being able to walk this path together. I’m infinitely grateful for you.
Namaste om shanti. Peace and love.
