Hi Beauties. Welcome to our practical enlightenment meditation, where our theme this week is Tapping into Intuition. Intuition is a very important quality because it is the way that we hear the inner voice of the true self. And this meditation is inspired by my new book, You Are more Than You Think You Are – Practical Enlightenment For Everyday Life, which is available to you now to order or pre-order. You can check it out. You can get the first two chapters for free immediately, if you are still in the pre-order period.
You will find that each of the chapters in the book focuses on very practical ways to bring forth soul qualities that are very important in order to reach your highest potential. And one of those qualities is intuition because the more you tune into your inner voice, which is the voice of the true self speaking to you and guiding you the less mistakes you make, the less you go far down the path that wasn’t necessarily meant to be.
Of course, we all take side routes and that’s part of life, and a lot of the time it’s because the ego is misguiding us. And when we listen more to the truth inside of us, we get more aligned and the path becomes more in flow. Intuition is a very important quality that we can all develop and we can all strengthen within ourselves.
This is a powerful meditation, especially if you are creating a new project or you are looking to start something new, or you’re going into a new phase in your life, or you just want to strengthen your intuition in general for life’s daily decisions.
Let’s get started…
Guided Meditation
So go ahead and take your comfortable meditation seat, either on the floor. Cross-legged with your hips, elevated by a pillow or a cushion as I am currently in myself or in a chair with your feet flat on the ground and take some nice full breaths.
Now relaxing your shoulders down, but lifting your spine. Chin parallel to the ground.
Let yourself arrive into this space, just letting the thoughts start to settle. They may still be there, but not trying to follow them, and bring your attention to your breath and to my voice.
On your next inhale, sweep your arms out, coming into prayer pose above your head, bending your elbows, and then start to gently bring that prayer straight down, aligning with your spine all the way down.
And then when you come near your hips, once again, you’ll inhale and lift your arms all the way up, big circle, put your palms overhead and then exhale, and bring that energy down. Palms pressed together down your spine.
A couple more cycles on your own, timing it with the breath. Energetically, what we’re doing here is we’re lifting up above our crown chakra. Aligned to the divine voice spirit.
And as we come down, we are calling in that energy into our individualized expression because we are all drops of consciousness, spirit individualized. We have our own unique voice, our own unique intuition. As we connect with the crown, we bring it down. We embody it. We bring it into this earth plane all the way down into the root chakra, into our hips. Feel our entire spine, our entire energy, our entire being.
A couple more cycles, just like that. Inhaling palms overhead, and then exhaling bringing it all the way down.
Feel the deepening of your breath, feeling that sending energies as you lift up and then the descending energy as you bring your palms down and to center and down, down, down.
Another breath cycle, just like that, going through that beautiful flow, that beautiful movement in your body. And when you’re done, come to rest your hands on your lap with your palms facing up.
Feel receptive and open. Open to the inner vision, the inner voice.
Notice if there’s any tightness or tension in your breath cycle and work to smooth it out. So there’s smoothness between your inhales and your exhales. There’s no holding or constriction in your belly.
We don’t try to control things starting with our breath. We don’t know everything. Instead, we become more and more to our spirits guidance, the voice of intuition, to our inner voice, to the larger intelligence of the universe all around us.
Setting the Intention for Today
Listen in, as I introduce our seed intention, or you can say it to yourself, whatever feels right.
I Am in deep connection to my inner voice.
I Am in deep connection to my inner voice.
I Am in deep connection to my inner voice.
I Am in deep connection to my inner voice.
I allow space and stillness to hear what my intuition is saying to me, how it’s guiding me.
I turned down the volume of my ego and my specific wants desires, expectations and the ways that I try to control things and in doing so, I allow this powerful, great energy of my intuition to come forward. To guide me in my life, to take me to the places that I didn’t realize I could go to. To the actions that I didn’t quite know I needed to take because my ego was speaking so loudly I couldn’t hear for now.
I Am in deep connection to my inner voice.
I Am in deep connection to my inner force.
A few more deep breaths in. Allowing the breath to come in fully. The deep relaxing feeling as you exhale, no holding, no constriction.
Feeling energy of allowing listening instead of overriding, but being open and receptive to all that may flow in.
If you’d like to sit here longer, please do so. As long as it calls to you, as long as you have time for. Otherwise, if you feel complete, please bring your hands together in front of your heart, in Anjali Mudra.
Take a moment for gratitude for anything and everything that may rise up spontaneously.
I’m so grateful for you, for our connection, and for our time together in sacred meditation. So much love.
Om shanti. Namaste.
