Spring is in the air! The weather is warming up, plant life is blooming again, and the air is sweet.
Coincidentally, spring is also regarded as the season of love, due to the surge in dopamine production within your brain. As a “happy” hormone, dopamine drives us to seek out experiences or activities that trigger its release.
This is why junk food is so addictive— eating it releases a ton of dopamine, making you want to eat more and more!
Thankfully, you can get that same boost of dopamine with healthy and wholesome foods. And if you want to experience the happiness of the season of love in a cup, you’re going to love my Spring Love Elixir recipe!
This elixir is both grounding and uplifting, giving you that amazing dopamine boost while nourishing your body and calming your mind.

What is Ashwagandha?
If you’ve never heard of ashwagahnda before, you may be thinking ”Ashwa-“ what?!
Ashwagandha is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda, and it’s been used medicinally for thousands of years.
Ashwagandha is energizing and strengthening, and it’s packed with so many health benefits. [1]
Just a few of these include:
- Can help boost male and female fertility
- Helps relieve stress and anxiety
- Improves blood circulation
- May improve athletic performance
- May improve sleep quality and promote healthy sleep
Health Benefits of Cacao
If you want chocolatey flavor without all the added sugar, dairy, or excess fat, then you’ll love cacao!
Cacao is what chocolate is made out of; cacao beans are fermented and roasted to create cacao powder or cocoa powder.
Before it’s overly processed into chocolate, cacao is naturally antioxidant-rich, and high in vitamins and minerals like potassium, magnesium, and iron.
Like ashwagandha, cacao is energizing and strengthening, and helps fight inflammation in your body.
Remarkable Rose Water
Rose water is packed with so many health and beauty benefits- no wonder it’s been so en vogue lately!
Rose water has been used for beauty and as an ingredient in food and drinks for thousands of years. It is created when rose petals are distilled with steam.
Rose water is associated with helping to support and open the heart. It can also soothe irritated skin, is a good source of vitamin C, can aid in healthy digestion, boost your mood, and has anti-aging properties.
In addition to all those health benefits, Yogananda said that the sweetness of roses imparts the essence of divine love! What’s not to love about that? 😉

They have less sugar than fruit juice and can give you a caffeine-free boost better than coffee!
